Session Work…

Rebecca has a number of recordings, live performances and arranging work to her credit. She has performed with artists such as Michael Hargan, Catherine O’ Halloran and Alec “Midge” Peebles and supported bands such as The Bare Naked Ladies, Midge Ure, Damien Dempsey, Rodrigo y Gabriella and Sophie Solomon. Rebecca has performed in venues such as The Carling Academy, The Barrowlands and King Tuts Wah Wah Hut, all Glasgow, as well as The Troubadour Club, Earls Court, London, and Cabaret Voltaire, Edinburgh.

Rebecca not only performed on Michael Hargan’s debut album, ‘Conversations Between Us’ but she also wrote the string arrangements.

In addition to recording this album, Rebecca has performed all over the United Kingdom with Michael Hargan including headline shows at The Arches Theatre, Glasgow, The Tron Theatre, Glasgow, The Ramshorn Theatre, Glasgow, ABC2, Glasgow, St Andrew’s in the Square, Glasgow, The Troubadour Club, Earls Court, London, Cabaret Voltaire, Edinburgh, Vocoustics, Aberdeen and The Art Bar, Dundee.

Support shows include Ken Stringfellow from REM, King Tuts Wah Wah Hut, Glasgow, Damien Dempsey and Rodrigo y Gabriella, Cabaret Voltaire, Edinburgh, Midge Ure on the Scottish Leg of his UK tour including dates in Perth and Ayr, Sophie Solomon, ABC2, Glasgow, and The Bare Naked Ladies, The Carling Academy and The Barrowlands, Glasgow.

2005 was a very busy year for Rebecca and Michael as they performed on Sub-City Radio in Glasgow, made a guest appearance at The Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow for Celtic Connections, launched Michael’s debut album ‘Conversations Between Us’ in Bar Brel, Glasgow, and were invited to perform for the Bush Hall Buzz Mini Festival in London.

In May 2007, Michael Hargan and his band performed at ‘Big in Falkirk’ alongside other acts such as The Human League and Heaven Seventeen.

Rebecca is looking forward to future collaborations with Michael Hargan.

More recently, Rebecca recorded with ‘Hot Love’, fronted by guitarist and vocalist Alec “Midge” Peebles on a tribute album to Marc Bolan from T-Rex.

Rebecca is also interested in the contemporary arts and recently performed for ‘Counterpoise’, as part of The Arches Live Festival for PM Music. The show was described as ‘a part performance, part installation and part interactive experiment in action’.

In February 2009, Rebecca recorded the soundtrack to ‘Dark Nature’, a horror film directed by Marc de Launay, due for release in the next year.
